Alright everyone, this is it! As this MKTG 370 course is coming to an end I want to give this blog, and my readers a wrap-up. Throughout this course I have learned all about social media(s) and personal branding. To me, social media is an incredibly useful tool that can be utilized in growing yourself or business. Your personal brand is your story in a sense from what I’ve gathered. What do you want to be known and remembered by? MyMMA wants to be known for passion and connecting with someone, as do I. It all connects. I would like to learn more about RSS Feeds and how to further utilize them. I had a taste, but now I want the whole plate. After this class has said its’ goodbyes, I hope to continue utilizing WordPress and growing my professional LinkedIn further. During this course, I’ve learned about the modern movement in the business world over social media and how to capitalize on it. So, one last thank you to everyone who has followed this learning experience. This has been a huge leap in education and experience for me. Till next time…
Hey, everyone! Today I wanted to give you all a sneak peek into what next week has in store. Next week I am going to do a brief podcast using Google Hangouts. My podcast will include topics from what I’ve learned in my MKTG 370 course and how it all relates to my personal brand at MyMMA. I will also cover how utilizing social media/tools to create YOUR OWN personal name and brand is easy (handy, huh?). Be sure to tune in, and as always provide feedback! I plan on doing it all for the first time on my trusty ‘ol laptop. Wish me luck, and give me a listen.
(I’m going to do a test podcast, so if you want to laugh at my attempts, feel free!)
Hey, everyone! My topic for you this week is about our (new) professional social medias. MyMMA finally put on its big boy pants and is ready to get serious (with some help of course)! For MyMMA we have used various social sites in order for us to grow professionally. Want to know how? We used two big name websites, LinkedIn and Facebook. Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s start with LinkedIn. We started off making a business page to go along with my personal profile. The business page gives all information necessary to learn, or join in on the experience. We have supplied our credentials, ideas, and openness all while networking and learning from millions of other users/accounts. As our name was put into LinkedIn we started joining various groups such as: Mixed Martial Arts, UFC/Fight Fans, Social Media Marketing, and many more. The more we have our fingers into the endless knowledge out on LinkedIn, the faster we can gain a following and further understanding of our brand. We are already sharing ideas, information, and tips with everyone we interact with and constantly getting feedback. We enjoy the aspect of LinkedIn that allows us to see an overview of who we are interacting with. Are you a fan? Athlete? Professor? Waiter? Who are you and how can we learn from you, or better yet, get you onboard with us?
Now, the second professional target we used was Facebook. Facebook is the largest social media site, which means more people and more potential. So, on Facebook we started a business page. On that page we listed contact information, our vision, information, media, and more. Users can find us, contact us, share us, like us, you name it! We decided it was a great idea to start a group on Facebook, along with our business page. This group isn’t just for the fans. We want to grow a community within our Facebook community to give users that feeling of input and matter. We are involved with chats with them back and forth (us keeping it as professional as possible). We do the interactions for learning and customer experience. When we are involved, we can feel the emotions, issues, pleasantries, etc. MyMMA is growing and growing fast, because of this! We are glad to announce we took it to the next level and that you can experience it all with us. We will continue to grow and learn on the next level as we have done time and time again. LinkedIn and Facebook are just the beginning.
Thanks for reading, and I’m always looking for feedback!
You’ve got to understand that with branding and the way things are promoted, in our day and age, your older movie stars are not reachable or accessible because they’re not a part of the whole social media world.

This Vlogger Fights for my Brand Strategy (Kind of)
A fellow video blogger, Alex Elsey, is a rising star in terms of what MyMMA is all about. This YouTuber post videos of his own personal MMA fights, training, tips, etc. all for the world to see and follow. The U.K. fighter brings the personality to his own videos, while being informative and entertaining with the content posts. Like MyMMA, Alex used YouTube for his recognition and growth. What video platform has more brand recognition that YouTube? I thought Alex Elsey was a great example of what we are all about at MyMMA. He delivers you combat sports news, but on a personal level where any and all levels of combat sports knowledge can comprehend. He delivers short videos all the way to extensive videos, in which we strive for. The content is thorough and even furthered upon fan requests or interest(s). He is not only growing his name and Vlog, but his fighting passion/career choice. We want personality and passion in our deliverance, and that is what Alex is all about.
You can check out more about Alex Elsey on YouTube for videos like this…enjoy!
I’ve found five great blogs that can relate to MyMMA’s personal brand that we found useful, and we hope you can find them helpful too! To start, 5 Ways to prepare your blog for Content Marketing helped us find our way to our audience with the tips provided. The various blogging tips can translate over to our blog and Instagram. A favored piece for that post is about the sponsored/promoted posting(s). MyMMA can connect with resources such as ESPN, UFC, Bellator, etc. to give further recognition for one another. We want to connect to and with our audience as part of our continued branding. The second blog, 10 Tactics for Getting More Followers on Social Media, connected with our brand greatly and furthered our present ideas. The blog reiterates the importance of things such as freebies (our Instagram giveaways), but gives us more insight on our engagement with followers. We want our community to grow and become aware. If we have a post we want hundreds and hundreds of comments sharing opinions, comments, questions, etc. We want an engaged audience with a voice. At MyMMA we aren’t just feeding you news and updates. We are feeding from one another and creating an active community based on micro-journalism.
The third blog titled What Should You Be Posting on Instagram, helped cement our personal brand, as well. At number six, we are excited about our weekly series. We want our “Throwback Thursday” posts to be about memorial fights or incidents that bring up a conversation/dispute in our community. In non-mixed martial arts terms, think of this example. A common sports throwback dispute is “Is LeBron James better than Michael Jordan” (or vice versa). Things that cause interaction, cause growth and “clicks” on our posts/pages. The fourth blog gives us insight on our personal brand. How to Rebrand Yourself-Quick Tips for a Strong Personal Brand, gave us strength in our unique selling position (USP). This supports our base of MyMMA. We are different due to our experience, deliverance, and consistent reminder of brand. MyMMA will grow, and we will need to tailored for our personal brand and this post greatly keeps us tied to our roots in the process. Lastly, our fifth blog we share with you is called: Following Passions, Self Doubt, and Motivation. This blog is emphasizing one of the reasons we started MyMMA in the first place. Passion. Here at MyMMA our work is done with passion for passionate people. We are constantly motivated to provide our audience no matter how big or small, our best work every single time. We do it, because we want to. We do it, for you. If anybody is interested in viewing these blogs we will provide the links for you below!
Who am I and what is MyMMA?
Hello, everyone! My name is Devin Cramer and I am the founder of a brand-new sports updater. I have been a fan of combat sports my entire life. UFC president, Dana White once said a quote that stuck with me forever and helped me fall in love with mixed martial arts further. The quote is along the lines of: “There can be a soccer game on your left and a baseball game on your right, but if a fight breaks out somewhere everyone stops watching the games and watches the fight.” The more I thought about it the more I found it to be true. Whether people enjoy fighting or not we all end up watching. It’s in our blood. However, like many fans have an issue with it is hard to get up-to-date and live MMA news via an application. So, I took it upon myself to resolve such an issue. That’s where MyMMA came from.
Our Sports updater, MyMMA, provides users with live updates facts videos and images for all MMA fighters both past and present on a professional level. We intend Anya lising social media for on-the-go usage as that is how most of the market receives information today. Instagram is a large component in which we plan on using to bring MyMMA up in the rankings for Combat Sports updaters. We hope to provide the best experience for the users and continue to grow in the process. Stay tuned!
